Corporate guided walk: Bowfell & Esk Pike

Back working for Highpoint Mountain Guides again today (, this time in the daylight and typical warm Lake District sunshine!

Joe, Paddy, Alex and I had a large corporate guided walk to look after with an ascent of Bowfell, via Rossett Gill, Angle Tarn and Esk Pike on the cards. The weather was fantastic all day and only a little chilly as we gained height.

The group of 24 rose to the challenge really well, with 23 of them doing the planned route and a slight variation taking in the Great Slab and the Climbers Traverse, before coming down The Band. The 24th member, accompanied by a guide, took on an easier variation, across the top of Rossett Pike and Rossett Crag, to Langdale Combe, before cutting under Black Crags and picking up the Cumbrian Way to Mickleden.

A very pleasant day was had on the fells, with amazing views right over to Blencathra and Skiddaw from the summit of Rossett Pike.
