Winter climbing & mountaineering: Lake District conditions update

Just back from the Kentmere area, where there is fresh snow down to around 450m. Higher up there has been quite a dump, but strong winds have moved it around a fair bit, resulting in windslab on east facing aspects. I found it pretty unstable in some areas, given that its sitting on a layer of neve. East facing gullies definitely worth avoiding and it’s currently very wild out there!
