Winter climbing & mountaineering: Lake District conditions update

Things are looking wintery up here today, if not a little claggy. Have been out for a quick run and the Langdale skyline looks alpine when it appears through the clag. Apparently the Helvellyn range is in reasonable nick for climbing, with frozen turf and reasonable ice forming in gullys. Will have to have a closer look over the next couple of days.

All in all, it’s pretty wintery out there, so be prepared for such conditions. Spiky things in hands and on feet please folks!
