Low level walk: Beddgelert

We are over in Snowdonia this weekend, for a combination of a holiday and a bit of work. Today was the latter – with a low-level walk around the Beddgelert area. Starting at Nantmor, at the foot of the Pass of Aberglaslyn, our route for the day took us up the pleasant Cwm Bychan, passed the old mine workings and up to Bwlych-y-Sygyn.

With expansive views of Snowdon and across to the impressive Cnicht, we dropped back down to Bedgellert for a quick drink, before taking the Afon Glaslyn back down the Pass of Aberglaslyn.

A great day. Conditions here in Wales are perfect for winter climbing, winter walking, rock climbing and spring walks! I’ve seen parties heading off with ice tools and others climbing in the sun at Tremadog. Amazing.
