Gorge scrambling: big jumps in Church Beck with Jose & Rach

This morning we were back in our favourite summer haunt, Church Beck, for another great gorge scrambling session – this time with Rach from Sheffield and Jose from Brazil. The waters weren’t as warm as maybe they would be back in Jose’s country, but at least we don’t have snakes in the gorge to content with, hey Jose?!

We were first in the gorge today and the waters were crystal clear – we could see to the bottom of even the deepest of the plunge pools.

We worked our way up the gorge to the chockstone and ticked all the games, jumps and obstacles on the way. A lot of companies call it a day at this point, but we don’t! We walk up the path a little and get back in the gorge higher up, enabling us to take in some big jumps and the best feature of the gorge – the slide into the top plunge pool!

Rach and Jose lapped all this up, so we finished on a high by going for the biggest jump in the gorge, straight down into a deep pool before getting on the slide for one last time.

Cheers guys for a fun morning!
