Rock climbing: Lower Scout Crag with Steen & Riley

After a day providing freelance staff for our friends over at Summitreks on Thursday (which involved more time in the waters of Church Beck!), we headed over to Langdale on Friday morning to meet father and son team Steen and Riley for a day of rock climbing. We headed over to Lower Scout Crag for the morning and the guys managed practically every route on the crag in good style. We even had the crag to ourselves, which was real pleasure.

After a spot of well deserved lunch, we took Steen and Riley over to Stickle Barn Crag to step up the difficulty a little and enjoy a few more climbs. The views down the Langdale valley were amazing and the sun shone for us, as Steen and Riley ticked off another couple of great routes on this quieter crag, high above Langdale.

Really good to meet you Steen and Riley – we hope to see you again soon :)
