Taking on one of the jumps, canyoning in Coniston

Join us to celebrate your last few days of singledom by letting us organise some great Lake District activities to keep you and your friends out of the pub for just that little bit longer!

Our Stag Do and Hen Do activities can be booked as ½ or full day sessions and are great way to clear the head from the night before, or to earn an evening of celebration afterwards.

We have activities for everyone, try our exhilarating extreme canyoning and gorge scrambling trips, through to nerve testing abseiling or rock climbing sessions. If you fancy something a little more sedate, then join us on a guided walk or on a mountain scrambling trip and let our knowledgeable local guides help you explore the Lake District fells.

All of our activities can be run as a ½ day session which can run either in the morning or in the afternoon. A really popular alternative though is to pick 2 activities and combine them to make one of our great value multi-activity days.

Click the links on this page or via the menus above for more detailed information on each activity.

A example of a good combination would be a dry activity in the morning, followed by a wet activity in the afternoon. Or maybe a full day on rock, climbing up it in the morning and or abseiling down in the afternoon. Either that, or maybe spend the whole day in the water, by combining a gorge scrambling trip (the ‘warm-up’) with the more full-on canyoning trip later on in the day! It is entirely up to you.

Testing your nerve – abseiling near Keswick

We can run Stag Do activities or Hen Do activities from anywhere in the Lake District as most towns and villages are only a short drive away from the venues that we use. To help you plan, these venues are generally in the Coniston or Keswick areas. Towns such as Coniston and Keswick themselves, plus Ambleside, Windermere and Bowness make good locations to base yourselves. If you need help or advice on accommodation, just ask.

Prices are shown on the pages that relate to the individual activities. We offer a 15% discount for groups of 10 or more.

Get in touch for large groups and we will give you a bespoke price.

A happy group – in the lower sections of the gorge

Ages and abilities: We have abseils that cater for all ages and abilities, from shorter more friendly walls to drops that will definitely make your legs shake! The youngest person to abseil with us so far was 5 – the oldest well into their 70s.

Group sizes and ratios: We run private, bespoke sessions for just you and your party. We put your safety first so the maximum instructor:client ratio that we will work to is 1:8 – if your party is bigger than 8 people then there will be more than one instructor.

Venue: We will choose a venue that suits your aspirations and minimises the travelling that you need to do. In the Lake District we have venues in areas like Coniston and Langdale, as well as further north in the Keswick and Borrowdale areas.

Kit: We will share a kit list with you when you book, but all you really need are warm and waterproof ‘outdoor’ clothes and footwear. We will provide all safety equipment such as harnesses and helmets, plus buoyancy aids and wetsuits if you are joining us gorge scrambling or canyoning. All our kit is in excellent condition and is replaced regularly.

Times: ½ a day runs from 9.30am to 12.30pm or from 2pm to 5pm. A full day runs from 9.30am to 5pm, with a break for some lunch and to move to the next activity. We believe in bespoke, tailored sessions though so we will always do our best to work around your other commitments and time constraints.
