After a great day on the hill with our new friends from Boston Scientific on Thursday, is was back to Langdale on Saturday to meet Zoe and her partner James for a day of rock climbing and abseiling.
Zoe and James had headed over from Southport to meet us and to celebrate James’ birthday by hanging off some rock faces in the Lakes – and why not? We can’t think of a better way to spend the day!
The sun shone on a picture-perfect Langdale whilst we climbed at Lower Scout Crag – Zoe and James made short work of the routes there, so after a spot of lunch we headed over to Cathedral Quarry and jumped straight on the 160ft vertical wall of slate that is the best abseil in the Lakes.
With no messing, James and Zoe had several goes on the wall, getting faster every time. Good effort guys!
After an explore of the tunnels under Cathedral, it was time to say goodbye and end another great day out in the Lake District.
Nice to meet you both and happy birthday James.
