While I was out on Helvellyn running a winter course, Mark took Mags out for 2 days of navigation training. They began on the Coniston fells, steadily making their way to Blind tarn. Conditions on the fells were pretty good, breezy, cloud base about 500m, but best of all it was dry.
Day 2 took them to Pike O’ Blisco to hone all those new skills. The weather was not so kind today: the rain soon lashed down upon them and the wind was stronger. However the low cloud meant there was much opportunity to test their navigational strategies (which all worked).
Cheers Mark for running the weekend for us.
