On Tuesday we were pleased to welcome the Hunter family to the Lakes who joined us for an afternoon of gorge scrambling in Stoneycroft Ghyll close to Keswick. ‘Stoney’ is a great gorge that you take in descent, rather than the usual scrambling upstream approach. Everyone got really stuck in with the slides, dives and jumps – good effort folks!
On Thursday the Hunter family joined us for their second activity – this time mountain scrambling high on Intake Ridge. This is a classic Grade 2 scramble that takes you through some impressive territory on impeccable rock. Another excellent afternoon was had by all in lovely Lakes weather. Cheers to Francis too for helping out with the session.
