In the first of two Summer Mountain Leader Refreshers this week, Phil joined us to practice his skills in the foothills of the Old Man of Coniston and Wetherlam. In a long day, which ended well into the dark, we managed to cover off all the areas of the syllabus that folk tend to struggle with. These included group management, steep group work, emergency rope work in both ascent and descent, plus lots and lots of micro navigation, running into the dark.
We think Phil will walk his assessment as he was really strong today. Good luck!
