Mountain training, instruction and private guiding

At Lakeland Ascents, we offer a variety of private guiding experiences alongside a comprehensive program of instructional courses and mountain training.

We provide bespoke, tailored courses on all aspects of rock climbing, scrambling, and mountaineering, including winter climbing, winter mountaineering, and ice climbing. We also offer navigation courses for all ability levels.

In addition to these courses, we can help you achieve your climbing ambitions and guide you on your dream Classic Rock or Hard Rock route or on an exhilarating ice climb high in the winter mountains.

For those looking to take on one of the many mountain walking challenges, such as the Lake District 24 Peak Challenge, the Welsh 3000’ers, or the National 3 Peak Challenge, we can provide you with quality local guides who will help you focus on putting one foot in front of the other, meaning you don’t have to worry about navigation, conditions, and route choice.

We also offer refreshers for NGB awards such as the Rock Climbing Instructor Award (RCI), Summer Mountain Leader (ML), and Winter Mountain Leader (WML).
