Join us for a day of guided rock climbing and experience the classic rock climbing lines of the Lake District, Snowdonia and Scotland in the hands of our professional instructors.
From long multi-pitch mountain routes on crags such as Scafell, Gimmer or Craig Yr Ysfa, to sea cliff climbing on Gogarth and valley cragging in the Borrowdale valley we can guarantee you’ll enjoy an exhilarating day on the rock.
At Lakeland Ascents, we pride ourselves in ensuring that your day is tailored to your own personal ambitions, so if you have an idea of a climb that you’ve always wanted to do, then we will be happy to be your guide. Ages and abilities: We can cater for all ages and abilities, regardless of whether you are new to climbing and want to experience your first multi-pitch line, or whether you’re an experienced climber wanting the security of a guide on that harder route you’ve had your eye on.
Group sizes and ratios: We put your safety first so the maximum instructor:client ratio that we will work to is 1:2 – if your party is bigger than 2 people then there will be more than one instructor.
Venue: We will choose a venue that suits your aspirations and minimises the travelling that you need to do. We are spoilt for choice in the Lakes, Snowdonia and in Scotland too.
Kit: We will share a kit list with you when you book, but all you really need are warm and waterproof ‘outdoor’ clothes and footwear. If you have your own climbing harness, helmet and shoes then great, but if not then don’t worry as you can borrow the items from us for free.
Times: Generally we would look to meet at around 09.30 and be down off the hill for 17.00. However, we believe in bespoke, tailored days so we will always do our best to work around your other commitments and time constraints.
