Guided rock climbing

Guided rock climbing on the sea-cliffs of Gogarth
Join us for a day of guided rock climbing and experience the classic rock climbing lines of the Lake District, Snowdonia, and Scotland in the hands of our professional instructors.
From long multi-pitch mountain routes on crags such as Scafell, Gimmer, or Craig Yr Ysfa, to sea cliff climbing at Gogarth and valley cragging in Borrowdale, we guarantee you’ll enjoy an exhilarating day on the rock.
At Lakeland Ascents, we pride ourselves on tailoring your day to your personal ambitions. If you have an idea of a climb you’ve always wanted to do, we will be happy to be your guide.
Need some inspiration? Take a look at the tick lists from Classic Rock and Hard Rock by Ken Wilson, two of the most popular and iconic works of climbing literature ever written.
In addition to guided rock climbing we also offer a variety of rock climbing courses, these are:
- Intro to outdoor rock climbing – take your first steps as an outdoor rock climber.
- Lead climbing course – get on the sharp end and learn to lead trad rock climbs safely.
- Multi-pitch climbing skills – learn how to climb big routes quickly and efficiently.
- Self rescue for climbers – the toolkit every climber should have.
