Looking for a challenge? The increasingly popular National 3 Peaks Challenge awaits you! Push yourself to the limit and ascend the UK’s three highest mountains: Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, and Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon).
The traditional way of completing the challenge is to summit all three peaks in just 24 hours, but we’re also seeing an increase in groups who want to complete it over a more leisurely three days. This allows more time to enjoy the breathtaking scenery and atmosphere.
At Lakeland Ascents, we can provide guides for both options, as well as bespoke guiding for your own itinerary.

We offer two standard packages for the provision of a 3 Peaks Challenge guide, but we can also put together a bespoke package for your group. Just get in touch with your requirements.
Guiding of just Scafell Pike: For the Scafell Pike leg of the challenge, we highly recommend hiring a guide. Scafell Pike is usually climbed at night during the 24-hour challenge, and it can be difficult to navigate in the dark or when the weather is bad. Our experienced guides know Scafell Pike like the back of their hands and can ensure your group’s safety.
The cost for a professional 3 Peaks Challenge guide for Scafell Pike is £300 for a group of up to 8 people, which comes out to under £38pp.
Another summit ticked!
Guiding of all 3 Peaks: If you’d like to leave all the navigation to the professionals, our guides can lead you up all three peaks. They will meet you at the starting point for each ascent and guide your group safely to the summit and back, allowing you to focus on the challenge ahead.
The cost for professional 3 Peak Challenge guides to lead you on all three peaks is £900 for a group of up to 8 people, which comes out to less than £113pp.
