Lake District Challenges
Lakeland Ascents offer a wide range of Lake District challenges that are perfect for team building, charity fundraising, or social events. The beautiful surroundings of the Lake District, its diverse terrain, and excellent local amenities make it the perfect location for any challenge event.
All of our challenges can be customised to suit your specific requirements and ambitions. We have a long history of creating challenges to suit a range of different groups, both corporate and private. Here is an overview of some of the most popular challenges that we run:
Lake District 10 Peaks Challenge
The 10 Peaks Challenge takes on 10 serious Lake District peaks in a single push, with a 12-hour target time. This is a seriously tough Lake District challenge for anyone looking for a big mountain day.
Lake District 24 Peaks Challenge
This is the perfect challenge for anyone looking to really test themselves without leaving the Lake District. The 24 Peaks Challenge is far harder than the well-known National 3 Peaks. It takes in the same route as the 10 Peaks Challenge but adds a second day and an additional 14 summits! The challenge covers significant mileage and ascent in its 24-hour target time. As with the 10 Peaks Challenge, we have 2 different routes to keep logistics nice and simple.
National 3 Peaks Challenge
The 3 Peaks Challenge climbs the UK’s 3 highest peaks (Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, and Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon)) within a time limit of 24 hours. However, many groups decide to complete it over a more leisurely 3 days.
The Lakeland Legend Challenge
Operated by our sister company, Lake District Activities, the Lakeland Legend Challenge is a full day of extreme adventure challenges. All challenges take place in an incredibly atmospheric quarry in the Lake District. Only those with the bravery and nerve to stand up to everything that’s thrown at them will complete it.
